Die Geschichte des Jugendchors begann im Jahr 1998, als einige singbegeisterte Jugendliche einen Chorleiter suchten, der bereit war, ein wenig seiner Freizeit zu opfern, um gemeinsam ein neues Projekt ins Leben zu rufen. Willy Runggaldier stimmte sofort zu, und somit wurde im Herbst 1998 der erste Jugendchor St. Christina "Cor di Jëuni S. Cristina" gegründet. Die Begeisterung wuchs stetig, und es folgten die ersten Auftritte: Heilige Messen, Konzerte und Hochzeiten. Willy Runggaldier leitete den Chor sieben Jahre lang, bis schließlich sein Nachfolger Samuel Runggaldier im Jahr 2005 mit Begeisterung die Leitung des Chors übernahm. Samuel konnte mit seinem musikalischen Wissen das Erbe von Willy weiterführen. Er widmete sich mit Hingabe dem Jugendchor, der unter seiner Leitung stets weiterentwickelt wurde und mit Begeisterung und Schwung an vielen Projekten teilnahm. Zu den Höhepunkten der vergangenen Jahre gehören vor allem die Treffen mit mehreren Chören aus Südafrika, die Teilnahme am Wettbewerb "Jugend singt" in Brixen und am europäischen Festival für Jugendchöre in Lignano Sabbiadoro sowie Workshops und Konzerte mit dem Jugendchor Gröden "Cor di Jëuni Gherdëina" unter der Leitung des talentierten südafrikanischen Chorleiters Christo Burger. Außerdem konnte der Chor sein 15-jähriges Bestehen feiern. Nach über sieben Jahren gemeinsamer Aktivität beschloss Samuel, einen neuen, jungen und motivierten Nachfolger zu finden. Es dauerte nicht lange, und es fand sich ein geeigneter Nachfolger: Martin Runggaldier nahm die Herausforderung mit Freude und Motivation an. Zurzeit singen 35 motivierte Jugendliche im Alter zwischen 14 und 30 Jahren im Chor. Der Chor singt vor allem A-cappella-Stücke quer durch alle Musikrichtungen, von der Renaissance bis zum Pop & Jazz, oft auch mit instrumentaler Begleitung. Der Zweck und das Ziel des Jugendchors ist es, kirchliche sowie weltliche Chormusik zu pflegen und zu fördern, den Jugendlichen Freude am Singen zu vermitteln und alle Mitmenschen, jung und alt, einzubeziehen. 

La storia del coro giovanile ha inizio nel 1998, quando alcuni giovani appassionati di canto cercavano un direttore corale disposto a dedicare un po' del suo tempo libero per avviare insieme un nuovo progetto. Willy Runggaldier accettò immediatamente, e così nell'autunno del 1998 fu fondato il primo coro giovanile di Santa Cristina "Cor di Jëuni S. Cristina". L'entusiasmo crebbe sempre di più e seguirono le prime esibizioni: Messe, concerti e matrimoni. Willy Runggaldier diresse il coro per sette anni, finché alla fine, nel 2005, il suo successore Samuel Runggaldier prese con entusiasmo la guida del coro. Quello che Willy aveva portato con la sua esperienza, Samuel lo continuò con la sua conoscenza musicale. Samuel si dedicò con passione al coro giovanile, che sotto la sua direzione si sviluppò costantemente e partecipò con entusiasmo e slancio a numerosi progetti. Tra i momenti salienti degli anni precedenti ci sono soprattutto gli incontri con vari cori sudafricani, la partecipazione al concorso "Giovani cantano" a Bressanone e al festival europeo dei cori giovanili a Lignano Sabbiadoro, nonché i workshop e i concerti con il coro giovanile della Val Gardena "Cor di Jëuni Gherdëina" sotto la guida del talentuoso direttore corale sudafricano Christo Burger. Inoltre, il coro ha festeggiato il suo quindicesimo anniversario. Dopo più di sette anni di attività comune, Samuel decise di trovare un nuovo, giovane e motivato successore. Non passò molto tempo e si trovò un successore adatto: Martin Runggaldier accettò con gioia e motivazione la sfida. Attualmente, 35 giovani motivati di età compresa tra i 14 ei 30 anni fanno parte del coro. Il coro canta soprattutto in stile a cappella attraverso tutti i generi musicali, dal Rinascimento al Pop & Jazz, spesso anche con accompagnamento strumentale. Lo scopo e l'obiettivo del coro giovanile è promuovere e coltivare la musica corale sia sacra che profana e insegnare ai giovani la gioia del canto, coinvolgendo tutte le persone, giovani e anziane. 

The history of the youth choir began in 1998, when some singing enthusiasts sought a choir conductor willing to sacrifice some of their free time to launch a new project together. Willy Runggaldier agreed immediately, and thus the first youth choir of St. Christina "Cor di Jëuni S. Cristina" was founded in the autumn of 1998. The enthusiasm grew larger, and the first performances followed: Holy Masses, concerts, and weddings. Willy Runggaldier led the choir for seven years until eventually his successor, Samuel Runggaldier, took over the choir with enthusiasm in 2005. Samuel was able to continue what Willy had brought with his experience through his musical knowledge. Samuel devoted himself passionately to the youth choir, which continued to evolve under his leadership and enthusiastically participated in many projects. Highlights of the past years include meetings with several choirs from South Africa, participation in the "Youth Sings" competition in Brixen, and in the European Festival for Youth Choirs in Lignano Sabbiadoro, as well as workshops and concerts with the Val Gardena Youth Choir "Cor di Jëuni Gherdëina" under the guidance of the talented South African choir conductor Christo Burger. Additionally, the choir celebrated its 15th anniversary. After over seven years of joint activity, Samuel decided to find a new, young, and motivated successor. It didn't take long, and a suitable successor was found: Martin Runggaldier joyfully and enthusiastically accepted the challenge. Currently, 35 motivated youths aged between 14 and 30 sing in the choir. The choir primarily sings in acapella style across all genres, from the Renaissance to Pop & Jazz, often accompanied by instruments as well. The purpose and goal of the youth choir are to cultivate and promote both sacred and secular choral music, to instill joy of singing in young people, and to involve all individuals, young and old.
